Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Rogue Sport comes in three different trim levels. The S starts the lineup with 16-inch steel wheels, while a step up to the SV adds 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, and roof rails as standard equipment. The SL sits at the top of the lineup with 19-inch alloy wheels, and it adds fog lights and heated side door mirrors. If you want larger wheels for the S mode, you can add the S Appearance Package and get most of the SL's features, and the SL Premium package comes with LED headlights and a sunroof.
Engine (Power)
All of the Rogue Sport models come standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 141 horsepower and 147 pound-feet of torque. This powertrain works with a continuously variable automatic transmission, and it has front-wheel-drive, with all-wheel-drive offered as an option.
Performance
The ride in the Rogue Sport is smooth and comfortable, and it feels more substantial than other small crossovers. Its small footprint and responsive CVT make this a perfect choice for running around town and for urban driving. Its well-weighted steering system keeps it in line when traveling on the highway, and the suspension works to smooth out bumps in the road. The Rogue Sport will get up to 25 miles per gallon in the city and 32 mpg on the highway with the front-wheel drive, and up to 30 mpg on the highway with all-wheel-drive.
Interior
The Roque Sport's cabin is just like the larger Rogue. The front seats are comfortable enough for all-day driving and you'll find 20 cubic feet of storage space behind the rear seats. When you fold the rear seats down, the cargo area expands to over 53 cubic feet. In the SV and the SL, Nissan adds the option for a Divide-N-Hide system which uses dividers in the load floor to help store smaller items. For technology, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now come standard, and all the models still come with a 7-inch touch-screen display, Bluetooth, satellite radio, and a four-speaker stereo system. A step up to the SV trim will add navigation and automatic climate control.
Safety Systems
Standard safety equipment in the Rogue Sport includes a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, along with a forward collision warning system with automatic braking. Nissan's Rear Door Alert system is also standard in all the trims. This will remind the driver to check the rear seat before walking away from the car. For 2019, the ProPIlot Assist system is available as an option, and you can also get a 360-degree bird's eye view camera system to see all the way around the vehicle.
