The History of Taylor's AutoMax in Great Falls, MT

In July, 1980, Jim, Mike and Bamma Taylor opened Taylor's Fine Used Cars in Great Falls, Montana. In 1982, Steve Taylor joined the company as a salesperson and later became a partner. As the years continued, Mark, Jim Jr. and John Taylor joined the team. Our extensive auto sales and management experience along with each of our individual skills persevered through some of the most difficult times the auto industry has ever seen. We have now become one of Montana's largest and most respected automobile dealers.

In 1996, we purchased a new facility and opened Montana's first used car superstore. The organization was named Taylor's Auto Max. The dealership has now grown to include Taylor's Auto Max Service, a full service and reconditioning department, and Taylor’s Transportation, an automobile transport business. In the dealership’s original building, we opened Taylor’s Automotive Credit Resources, a secondary finance outlet specializing in helping people who have experienced credit challenges and need help finding the financing necessary to purchase a vehicle.

The year 2020 marks the 40th anniversary of our successful family partnership. We are fortunate to currently employ an estimated 100 people. Without our employees, our continued success would be impossible. Our employees are our greatest asset and we are proud to call them our partners. We carry an inventory of 300+ late model pre-owned vehicles.
