In July, 1980, Jim, Mike and Bamma Taylor opened Taylor's Fine Used Cars in Great Falls, Montana. Steve Taylor soon joined the company as a salesperson and later became a partner. Also joining the original team has been brother, Mark and two of Jim and Bamma's sons, Jim Jr. and John. The seven of us with our extensive auto sales and management experience plus our individual skills and talents persevered through some of the most difficult times the auto industry has ever seen, to become one of Montana's largest and most respected automobile dealers.

In 1996, in what was considered by many to be a bold move, we purchased a new facility and opened Montana's first used car super store. The organization was named Taylor's Auto Max and has grown to include a full service and reconditioning department named Taylor's Service Max and also an automobile transport business named Taylor's Transportation. In our original location we opened Automotive Credit Resources, a secondary finance outlet, specializing in helping people who have experienced credit challenges and need help finding the financing necessary to purchase a vehicle.

The year 2009 marks the twenty ninth anniversary of our successful family partnership. We are fortunate to employ approximately 100 people at the present time, without whom our continued success would be impossible. Our employees are our greatest asset and we are proud to call them our partners. We carry an inventory of 300+ late model pre-owned vehicles.
