The 2018 Nissan Rogue parked in Great Falls, MT | Taylor's Auto MaxNew for 2018 is the Nissan Rogue, a spacious SUV with an upscale, attractive interior designed for comfort, while the engine boasts great fuel efficiency. There’s a lot about the Rogue to love, not least of which is the evocative name. With a lot of impressive safety features and some useful technological assistance in the form of ProPILOT Assist as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Rogue is the perfect travel companion.

Upscale Comfort and Safety

If you’re in the market for a compact yet upscale SUV perfect for everyday driving and grand adventures, the Rogue is a great choice. Completely redesigned in 2014, the 2018 version isn’t vastly different from the last model but this isn’t a bad thing. The 2014 overhaul saw a slick new design with an interior featuring a large amount of cargo space, plush seating, efficient and pleasantly designed controls, and a layout that makes everything easily accessible.

Perhaps the biggest benefit of the Rogue, aside from an extremely lush interior, is the impressive range of safety features. You will struggle to find its match in another car without spending a lot more money. Even then, the Rogue is the only car in its class to boast a semi-autonomous driver assistance system.

Rogue Engine Performance

The Rogue also has the benefit of a 2.5-liter engine with four-cylinders that produces an impressive level of fuel efficiency. For running around town it can’t be beaten, getting you from A to B followed by every other letter needed in the busy life of a modern professional or family. Achieving 26 mpg on city roads and a full 33 mpg on highways, the Rogue’s front-wheel drive is extremely effective. While the all-wheel drive comes with considerable benefits, it only diminishes the fuel efficiency by a single mile per gallon in both city and highway driving.

At the same time, you can expect a smooth ride and excellent handling from the Rogue, which is perfectly balanced and extremely comfortable to both drive and ride in. Cornering will never be an issue, and you can embark on any adventure you choose confident that your SUV is fully capable of handling it.

The Rogue may not be a sports car, but it can certainly handle turns, with next to no body roll and complete stability. Add to this an effective power steering system finely tuned to ensure cruising down the highway can be done in perfectly straight lines, and you can see why it’s such an appealing car. Despite the high performance of the car in terms of steering and engine capacity, it’s still light to drive, allowing for effortless maneuvering even at slow speeds.

A Reliable Rogue

The reliability rating is not yet available for the 2018 Rogue, however, it comes with a limited warranty covering the first three years/36,000 miles, and an extended powertrain warranty covering the first five years/60.000 miles.

Overall the Rogue is an excellent choice for a mid-range SUV that delivers a lot of performance, safety, and style at a very reasonable price.
