The Models

The 2019 Kicks comes in three different trim levels. The S starts the lineup with 16-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, and roof rails, while the SV adds 17-inch alloy wheels, body-painted mirrors and door handles, and heated side door mirrors. The top-level SR model comes with fog lights, LED headlights, and it adds black-painted side mirrors. This trim also comes with a rear roof spoiler and offers the option for the SR Premium package with upgraded technology.

To give your Kicks a little extra exterior style, both the SV and the SR offer the option for a two-tone paint scheme.

The Technology

The young professionals love the Kicks and all its technology. Even the base trim comes standard with a 7-inch touch-screen display, three USB ports, Bluetooth, Siri Eyes Free, and a six-speaker stereo. The SV adds to the technology features with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, and it has a remote start. Opting for the SR with the Premium package will get you an eight-speaker Bose stereo.

The Cabin

Inside, the Kicks has room for up to five passengers, and everyone sits on high-quality cloth seats in the S and SV. The SR adds upgraded cloth upholstery and the option for simulated leather along with heated front seats. Every trim has a height-adjustable driver’s seat and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. The SV upgrades the cabin with chrome accents and padded armrests on the front doors, and the SR has a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.

The cabin feels roomy and there is plenty of storage both up front and in the back. Behind the rear seats, there is 25.3 cubic feet of cargo space, and with the rear seats folded down, this opens up to an impressive 53.1 cubic feet.

The Engine

All the Kicks models have the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 122 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. It works with Nissan’s CVT and comes with front-wheel drive. The 1.6-liter has plenty of power for the compact Kicks, and the CVT is one of the quietest you’ll find. This is also a fuel-efficient vehicle that will get up to 31 miles per gallon in the city and 36 mpg on the highway.

The Safety Features

No matter which model you choose, it will come standard with a rearview camera, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and hill start assist. The SV adds a blind spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alert, while the SR adds a 360-degree surround-view camera system.

The 2019 Nissan Kicks is a fun and stylish compact vehicle. It has the latest technology to stay connected while on the road, along with a comfortable and spacious cabin.
